About Us
Welcome to Teaching Teeth, let us introduce ourselves.
Hi, we're Donna and Brittany, two young mums with a passion for oral health.
We met studying our Bachelor of Oral Health Degrees at the University of Adelaide (class of 2016) and have remained close friends ever since. In 2021 we entered motherhood together, each welcoming out first child.
It was through our new parenting journey that Teaching Teeth was born. With a newfound awareness of the lack of dental information, and 22 years of dental experience between us, we set out to make preventative knowledge more accessible then ever before.
We aim to bridge the gap between expecting, and new parents and the dental industry. We hope Teaching Teeth can encourage prevention by providing continuous education and support.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to us as we love connecting with out #teachingteeth community and empowering other parents on their dental awareness journey.
We’re here for families
We’re mothers ourselves, who get it!
Parenting is hard! As dental professionals and mothers, weve adapted our advice to suit parent’s needs.
Our support is:
Early Childhood
Preventative measures in early childhood can have the biggest impact on oral health outcomes. We’re here to educate parents around how they can help their children’s dental development in the most positive way.
For the whole family
Dental health is mostly determined by social and environmental factors, not genetics, as some may think. We hope that the education we provide can influence the whole family and break generational trends.
